Chiropractic involves drug-free, non-invasive manual procedures. Chiropractors utilize the highly refined skills developed during their undergraduate degree as well as four intensive years of chiropractic education.
Chiropractors practice a manual approach, providing diagnosis, treatment and preventive care for disorders related to the spine, pelvis, nervous system and joints. We use a combination of treatments, all of which are predicated on the specific needs of the individual patient.
The goal of chiropractic treatment is to decrease pain and disability and facilitate the earliest possible return to work and normal activity.

A custom orthotic is a device designed to align the foot and ankle into the most anatomically efficient position. By doing so it can help with foot, knee, hip or back pain. To determine if orthotics are right for you, Dr Barrett will do a history of your complaint and a functional / gait analysis.
At Antigonish Chiropractic, we are registered with the Nova Scotia Workers Compensation Board, which means we can assess (including functional assessments), treat and complete 'return to work' programs for our patients who have been injured at work.
